From 1 January 2021, you may only apply to register a trademark or design online. In recent years, over 99% of applications have in any case been submitted electronically. Now, with the abolition of paper application forms, BOIP is taking the next step in digitising its services.
Why this step?
We want to offer a process that is as efficient as possible and doing so enables us to keep costs as low as possible for all our customers. There is no longer a need to maintain two different application entry methods or to run the risk of manual-entry errors. An additional benefit is that this step aligns the method for submitting trademark applications in the Benelux with that for international trademark applications.
What does this mean for you?
- From 1 January 2021, you can only apply to register a trademark or design by using My BOIP.

- You can also track all the correspondence concerning your pending applications online, using the My BOIP Message Box. More information
