We have learnt with regret that Mr. Florent Gevers passed away on 23 October 2018.
During his tenure as a board member of the BMM (Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law) and in the years thereafter, he was a driving force in the development of the Benelux IP system. His contribution to the discussions on introducing new competencies at BOIP with respect to refusal and opposition was invaluable. At BOIP, it is with great appreciation that we recall his enthusiastic, open-minded, and candid debating style and his progressive vision for the future.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family and colleagues.
