The EUIPO Boards of Appeal will visit our office on the 26th of March. During the afternoon, the members of the Boards would like to meet IP professionals from the Benelux during a seminar. You can register your participation by sending an e-mail to promotion@boip.int.
Starting at 14:00, the following subjects will be discussed:
1. Presentation of EUIPO’s Boards of Appeal:
- Organization and procedural aspects
- Effective appeal proceedings
- Presentation of the online appeal filing tool eAppeal
- Appeal proceedings following the Legal reform phases I and II
2. Presentation of recent trade mark and design case-law, including discussions:
- Objections to the registration of 3D trade marks
- Relationship between trade mark and designs
- Mark consisting of both, word and figurative elements and how the figurative elements affect the distinctiveness
The seminar is expected to end around 17:45 and will be in English. The seminar will take place at our office in The Hague (Bordewijklaan 15). Be aware there is limited capacity.
