As of 04 December 2017 the Japan Patent Office (JPO) has made its design data available to the Designview search tool. The integration of JPO is a concrete result of the International Cooperation programme managed by EUIPO in collaboration with its international partners. With JPO on board Designview now contains data from 62 participating offices.
With the addition of more than 525.000 designs from JPO Designview provides information and access to more than 13,2 million designs. Since the introduction of Designview on 19 November 2012 the tool has served more than 3.1 million searches from 159 different countries, with users from Germany, the UK and Spain among the most frequent users.
